They may not be Olympic athletes (yet), but they capture the spirit of running.  These are photos from this weekend's American Running Association event, the Battle of the Potomac - a four-way high school race between Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Here's the finish of the girl's race - it doesn't get any closer.
