- Department of Community Services - offers financial assistance

Special Needs, Inc. (PACT) - offers medical child care
services, therapeutic child care for homeless families with
infants and toddlers, and a supported parenting program for

- HELP - provides food, referrals to health, financial

The Assistive Technology
Guaranteed Loan Program - provides financial assistance to
Maryland residents with disabilities and their families who
qualify for low-interest loans to buy equipment that helps them
live, work, and learn more independently. Contact them toll-free

UCP of Southern Maryland
- Financial Aid Program - provides direct financial help to both
children and adults with disabilities (and their families), so
they may realize or maintain independence. Also, provides
assistance in purchasing many services and resources, including
adaptive equipment, day care, home care, tuition, health
services and transportation to all disabled individuals living

Anchor of Hope -
Baltimore - Operation Blessing - provides limited financial
assistance for rent or mortgage payments, emergency needs in
situations of catastrophic loss (fire, flood, earthquake),
utility bills (water, electricity, gas). Requests will only be
considered if a letter is attached from a pastoral or agency
representative. Payments will be sent directly to the creditor.

Private Fuel Funds -
there are non-federal dollars available from local fuel funds,
obtained from others throughout the state of Maryland who make
contributions into this fund when paying their own utility bill.
