One of my favorite things I like to do in
this life has little to do with me at all.
It is when I am able to facilitate conversation,
advice and support between my favorite
caregiving experts – family caregivers.
This fall, as I travel the country to host
Fearless Caregiver Conferences in rural,
urban and suburban communities, I know that I am
traveling to discover the wisdom that is within
each and every family caregiver I will encounter
along the way. Every conversation I have with
family caregivers is guaranteed to add one extra
piece to the caregiving puzzle that I hope to
share with you and in the pages of
Today's
Caregiver magazine. I say all of this
because I am awed by the overwhelming support
you have offered to the caregiver highlighted in
last week’s newsletter. The
following is a representative selection of the
answers you sent.

I think this proves without the
shadow of a doubt that the only inappropriate
question from a caregiver is the unasked one.
SO, now your goal is to reach out to the next
family caregiver you meet (in the pharmacy line,
the doctors waiting room, support groups, hair
salon) and ask them the question “What helps you
get through the day?”
Email me your responses
before next Tuesday and I will include them in
next week’s newsletter. I think you will be
happily surprised at what you will learn from
your fellow experts.
Happy Labor Day
weekend to all.
