is my great honor to announce to one and all, the winners of the
2004 Today's Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com
CAREGIVER FRIENDLY
Awards. The awards are presented to books, media, services and
products which have been produced this year with the best interest
of the family caregiver in mind. The award winners will be honored
at the
Fearless Caregiver Conference in Fort Lauderdale
Florida on April 29th. I am also privileged to announce that Ms.
Leeza Gibbons will again be our keynote speaker at this year’s
event.
Since Leeza
launched the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation at our conference last
year, she is very excited about coming back to report the amazing
amount of progress that the foundation has had in one short year. We
had the pleasure of working with Leeza at our Los Angeles conference
this year and she is a truly magnificent speaker. One hint though,
don’t forget your hankies. Leeza and I will be heading off to
Orlando the next day to give presentations at the LTC forum which
will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.
We will also be exhibiting at the ASA/
NCOA conference in San Francisco April 14-17. Please stop by if you
are going to the conference. We look forward to seeing you there.
Speaking of Fearless Caregivers, this
has been a whirl-wind year for us already with two successful
Fearless Caregiver Conferences hosted since January (LA with Leeza
and Atlanta with Della Reese). We will be coming back to many of
the towns where we hosted events in 2003 and look forward to
visiting many more for the first time. If you are interested in
