Last night, my brother and I were driving on
the dark and rain soaked Florida Turnpike when we saw yellow
lights flashing ahead off to the side of the road. The
lights were on the top of a truck belonging to the Florida Road
Rangers, a state run organization that, believe it or not, comes
to the rescue to stranded drivers on major Florida roadways. The
ranger was kneeling in the rain changing the tire of a sedan
driven by an elderly citizen.
It reminded me of the time
we were crossing what is known as "Alligator Alley" returning
from our Fort Myers event late last year. All of the
sudden our car swerved having just blown out a front tire.
Before we could get to the highway patrol call box about a half
mile down the road a Road Ranger approached us, changed the tire
and drove off.
Hey, how about caregiver rangers?
