I am currently caring for my fiancé who has an SSI case
pending. I have two daughters and he has one who stays with
us three to five days out of the week. He is not able to
work and I only have a part-time job while going to school
full-time online. I am trying to find the right people to
talk to about getting assistance and becoming his permanent
chore services provider/caregiver. He has no current doctor
because he does not have health insurance, so he goes to CNS
in Pontiac, Michigan for his treatments. We both have open
DHS cases and receive food; I get medical and child care for
my children.
It is not currently possible for me to
meet all the requirements needed by my children and my
fiancé with me working outside of the home. If you could
help me with the information I need, or direct me to the
right people, I would highly appreciate it. Thank you for
your time.

Hello, probably ask your love-ones/relatives to take care your family for the meantime, explain to them what your real situation and ask them to give you a time for that matters, and also especially don't forget to pray for your family because only God can help you to find ways to your problem.
That is all I can say.. thank you.

Dear Caregiver....contact your county social worker department to find out how to proceed with payment for caregiving needs. The county staff have the $ from states and then each county determines how to spend. This is variable depending on the location where you reside. The SW should have the information you need. Good luck!

You need to ask DHS for an assessment for "Home Help" aka "Chore Services." They will assess your fiance for his daily care needs and assign a number of payable hours per week based on the time it takes for caregiving. Then you can enroll with DHS as his paid caregiver.
