Summer of Respite 2010

Believe it or not, it’s that time again. It’s time to roll out our tenth annual Summer Respite series. Since we first announced our Summer of Respite 2001, each year’s series has been a smashing success. Every summer, we encourage caregivers to continue helping each other by sending in your respite tips and techniques. This summer, it is more important than ever for each and every one of us to avail ourselves of the benefits that respite offers.

Care Travel: A Prepared Traveler is a Happy Traveler Whether you travel abroad or domestically, there are some tips you should keep in mind. Hi My mother is in a nursing home, she is wheelchair bound and we are looking for someone that can/would be able to travel with her from her care facility in the Oklahoma City, OK area to a wedding in Houston, TX. I am in Dallas, and will be attending the wedding with other family members, but we are ill prepared to take care of her. Can you direct me to a company or individual that does?
