Can you please direct me to an Eldercare service in Shawnee or near Shawnee, KS? I live five miles N.E. of Asher.

I am almost 70 and have a lot of health problems and need some help at home so I can remain independent. Of course, there is the lack of income to be able to hire someone & I am just not ready for a nursing home. My problem is a bad back. I have had two surgeries and am on pain medicines and can hardly maintain my home.........dishes, changing beds, laundry general house cleaning. When my Mom was living she had someone come in once a week from Eldercare and do these things for her. When I called the place she had they said Eldercare didn't exist anymore. Is this true or are there other places?
I would appreciate any information you have. Hopefully you will have some good news for me.
